Who is Pam Hughes?
I am a native of Australia who served 4 years in the Women's Royal Australian Navy. My native Texan husband, Bob, and I have been married 31 years. Prior to settling in Houston, we lived in Hawaii, Chicago, and Kansas. Our daughter, Melia, married Joe Kenny last year and recently bought a home in San Francisco. She is an editor with a software company, and Joe is Chief Safety Engineer at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center in Palo Alto. Our son, Brian, married Stine Norgaard in Denmark in 1998 and blessed us with a granddaughter, Cisca Gia Hughes, last year. They live in New York City's Greenwich Village and are advertising creative directors.

In addition to being a full-time REALTOR, I am active in my church teaching children, performing as a clown, playing tennis, and speaking on Australia in local schools. Civic and charitable activities are pursued as a way to give back to a community which both you and I can be proud to call home. I am a member of the Northwest Chamber of Commerce, the Cypress Woodlands Junior Forum, and the Barbara Bush Library Board. I am also a financial supporter of the Cypress Creek Community Center Performance Hall (CENTRUM), and I serve on the Huntwick Civic Association Architectural Control Committee. Even a good home city can become better if we all pull together.

Aside from earning my professional designations, I am active in the National, Texas, and Houston Associations of Realtors. This includes serving on the Professional Ethics Committees at both the Texas and Houston levels. I am a member of both the Residential Sales Council and the Realtors' Marketing Institute, and I am called as an expert witness on residential real estate matters in Houston courts.
